Kantar Health Webinar to Explore "White Bagging" Trend in Oncology

NEW YORK, March 20, 2014—Kantar Health, a leading global healthcare consulting firm, will host a webinar, “The Evolving Use of White Bagging in Oncology,” at 12pm ET on Tuesday, April 8.

“White bagging” describes physician-administered drugs that are dispensed by a specialty pharmacy and filled through the pharmacy benefit rather than physician buy and bill. In this webinar, Kantar Health will examine the current trend of increased use of white bagging in community oncology practices and the dual drivers of payer encouragement and physician choice. Specialty distributors and group purchasing organizations (GPOs) support “buy and bill” as the primary method of distribution of oncology drugs. However, a diverse array of competing specialty pharmacies (SPs) already commanding the majority of the oral market, continue to make headway into physician buy and bill via white bagging with the support of payers.
